The
Coaching Staff at Bayou City Fencing Academy
All Bayou
City Fencing Academy coaches are qualified either through the United States
Coaches College, its European counterpart, or through a background of
extensive coaching experience. Each summer our coaching staff is augmented
by International coaches and their students. These coaches and their students
have come from France, Germany, South America, China and Mexico. This
gives our fencers the opportunity to enjoy fencing with Internationally
ranked fencers and to build lasting friendships.
All coaches
work under the guidance of our head coach and have extensive experience
working with children in recreational sports and fencing.

| Coach Kamilla Skladanowska |
| |
Kamilla is an extremely versatile coach.
While her primary weapon is foil, she is no stranger to epee and
saber. She received her Ph.D. degree in physical education with
a dissertation on the role of overall fitness in fencing practice.
Her works have been published in several publications. In Poland
she worked with world-class fencers, helping them prepare for world
championships and the Olympics. She herself is a 4-time Olympian,
having fenced in the Olympics in Mexico, Munich, Montreal, and Moscow.
She was also the Polish foil champion in individual and team events.
We are incredibly fortunate that Coach Kamilla chose to come to
the US to coach our students. She is not only one of the worlds
greatest coaches, but a person who is delightful to work with.
